The world’s strongest magnetic building system, one that lets kids - and young-hearted adults - create previously impossible-to-build objects.
The patented magnetic rod design gives GEOMAG its unparalleled connective strength. A nickel-plated steel rod at the core of each one-inch, precision-molded, plastic-coated component connects two magnets—one on each end of the rod. The magnets have opposite polarities, giving the rods the power to both repel and attract and teaching kids about magnetism as they play. Nickel-plated steel spheres that never tarnish are used to connect GEOMAG rods and make a myriad of geometric structures.
Anyone can use the super-strong rods and spheres to build spinning tops, complex towers, suspension bridges…even jewelry! Things that are impossible to construct with other building systems can be made with GEOMAG.
GEOMAG rods and spheres are made to last a lifetime. Each rod is inspected by hand in the factory in Italy, which adheres to the highest quality standards. GEOMAG is ideal for sharing with siblings and passing down to the next generation.
Available in many sizes and colors, GEOMAG sets are the perfect gift. All GEOMAG sets are safe for children age 3 and up.
SUPERMAG is the next evolution in the GEOMAG family. They have even more
magnetic power because both the rod ends are tapered. One sphere can
hold up to 23 rods. WOW! Plus SUPERMAG has long and short rods for even more
construction possibilities. They are available in the same colors as the
Geomag Toy Line (Red, White, Blue, Yellow and White). There are 2 deluxe model
sets in the same vein as the Geomag Collector's Edition. They both come in
their own wood case. Supermag is fully compatible with the Geomag product line.
Geomag was invented in Europe and is manufactured in Italy by PlastWood
Sr.l, a small family owned company located in Sardinia. Edoardu Tusacciu founded PlastWood in 1999 and started production and distribution of the Geomags first in Italy and then distribution in other European countries such as Germany, England, Austria, Spain, France, etc... PlastWood's mission is to create products that are unique, creative, interactive, of superb quality, and fun for children and adults. Geomag has definitely proven to be a product with all of these descriptions.
It didn't take long until Geomag had taken Europe by storm as the next Lego sensation: By the end of the year 2000, PlastWood has sold over 500,000 units in Italy alone! Pretty soon this Geomag fever has traveled through most of Europe. Today it can be found all over Europe in almost any toy store, educational store, schools, universities, museums, and major department stores. After just three years since the product was introduced into Europe and has made its mark as one of Europe's best selling products, Geomags was finally introduced to the U.S. towards the end of year 2001. PlastWood is also a member of the MSA (Museum store Association), ASTRA [American Specialty Toy Retailers Association) and just applied for the NSSEA (National School Supply Association).
